Friday night was the opening of Into The Woods at Barksdale Theatre. You can get more info at http://www.barksdalerichmond.org/
I am cheating a little here because this picture is from opening night of Intimate Apparel which was the last show at Barksdale. Intimate Apparel was great but that is not what I am going to talk about on this blog entry.
Into The Woods takes you on an incredible journey, first familiar and comical and then dark and ultimately extremely touching and poignant. The music is beautiful and haunting. This is no easy show to pull off and I can't imagine a production anywhere being any better than the show I saw Friday night. I was so glad I brought my Dad and Kittymom to opening, especially since the theme was so perfect for Father's Day.
On a personal note I was so proud of my friends who amazed me while making me laugh, cry and listen - every moment on the edge of my seat. Thank you guys!!! Have a great run- I will be back.

Sparki is a nickname that your big Sis gave me years ago that I tend to use on line. I had a lighter in the shape of a spark-plug, and she thought it was pretty hilarious.
