Yes - I might be watching American Idol. That is just because my sweetie is working the night shift and I am left on my own. Sometimes when he is gone I watch questionable TV (but what about that Jacob Lusk!). Also, on a side note, flash mobs make me cry. Like, really cry. Like Oprah being reunited with a lost Sister cry. Before I start replaying all my favorite DVR'd Glee scenes and really lose it I want to talk about food. Just because I am home alone doesn't mean I go hungry - and cooking for one is always a challenge. One that I never have conquered. Tonight, after a lusty trip to Trader Joe's, I made a herb salad topped with a soft boiled egg. I added some of my homemade croutons and a side of thinly sliced marinated pork loin. I must leave you now...I think there is a new Miami Housewives...

That looks great- I had a salad with chick peas, beets, onion, hearts of palm, a little lettuce and crappy store-bought croutons.
By the way, did I ever tell you about how Beth and I were at a restaurant opening last year and this other guest, a guy, recognized us from frequenting his french restaurant (now closed) in coconut grove? It's one we used to go to often and we took dad and kitty to it a few times. So we were having drinks w/him and talking and turns out he is married to Marysol - from the new Miami housewife show. He is a doll. She was nice too and was telling us how she was in the midst of filming a housewives-like show for Bravo that was going to start airing in October but they weren't calling it Housewives of Miami because all the girls were sweet and really liked each other and didn't want it to be trashy like the other shows in the Housewives franchise. Ha ha. She really liked Beth at first because, she said, Beth told it like it was. Then later after a few drinks, Beth asked her why she had so many lip injections and how she was such a pretty girl and didn't need to do that to herself and then she didn't like Beth so much anymore.
Wow a real brush with greatness! I mean her getting to meet Beth...
Haha. Right- that's what I thought too.
what did you use to marinate the pork?
garlic, herbs and lemon. I like the outside crispy and the inside soft...I am always surprised how quickly it cooks.
