Marital Bliss

So it was our two week anniversary (and they said it wouldn't last!) Steve came home from work with beautiful flowers and a glimmer in his eyes - he proceeded to tell me he ordered meet from a butcher for the first time ever - he was so excited it was the cutest thing I had ever seen.
You know once you get your meat specially cut it is hard to go back -
I love cooking and it is hard for me to stay out of the kitchen but somehow- I made myself sit on the sofa with a big glass of wine he poured for me, but, you know - it wasn't easy.
Steve was equally excited about the beautiful fresh brussel sprouts he bought.
As usual he starts searching the internet for the best way to roast them. They ended up heavenly! Crunchy on the outside and soft and velvety on the inside. Since we didn't do carbs he also threw in some sauteed zuc and squash and onions.
We used our new Rachel Ray grill pan for the steaks - a wedding gift we we very excited to use! How did I ever live without it? Or Steve?

Our sweet girl, Trixie.

marinated ribeyes cooking the Rachel Ray way.

Squash, zucchini and onions.

Steve roasted these on parchment paper until the outside was crispy. Sorry the picture is a little out of focus.
