Post Updated with Pic of dirty Dishes.

Steve O. effortlessly lighting a Chanukah Menorah

So today Steve got out of work in enough time to pick me up from the Library. As soon as we got in the house he said "Don't go in the Kitchen. I have not cleaned it from last night." Normally this would send my eyes rolling back in my head but since I had brought home some old used Tupperware from work - there had been a backlog of half eaten lunches I finally cleaned out of the work fridge - I just handed them over and said - "OK - but here are a few more things that need to be cleaned." Apparently one of them smelled pretty bad and Steve took the opportunity to leave the kitchen once or twice saying things like "That really smells!" and "I have a weak stomach" and so forth. Finally I said "Oh Honey - I'll do it, I am sorry." and he replied "No, I will be fine. I just wanted you to know my suffering."

I loved that line. It made me think of a couple things. A. Is it worth suffering if no one else is around to see it? And B. Is it possible Steve is secretly Jewish?

Wow. Once that Tupperware and contents start to smell, they go in the trash. It is not worth any amount of money to me to have to suffer that way! Steve is a good man! The pork looks good. I like it cut up the next day in a spicy stir fry!

That Steve is a prince among men. I agree with Arties... No Tupperware is worth keeping once the food in it is that far gone.

He also may be part Italian...as I have heard the Mo say those very words to my Mother.

OK - really peopel - the tupperware had been sitting in the fridge at work for 2 days - it wasn't that far gone - he just didn't like the way the food smelled. But I hadn't even thought about throwing it away - I promise to make that an option if Steve ever cleans the kitchen again.

Oh... and by the way - that stuff looks like Schmupper ware - not Tupperware.... totally disposable in my opinion. :)

Actually that comment of Steve's also sounded a bit Catholic to me as well...does that make him Jewish AND Catholic? Jewlic? Cathlish?

Catholics are just Jews with a different Messiah, after all...
